Investors: Greylock Partners, Omidyar Network, Marc Andreeseen, Reid Hoffman, Ron Conway, Mike Maples, Jr., and Al Avery.

Analysis: Since its launch in 2004, the rate-your-own-news site has grown to 27 million uniques and 250 million page views per month. In 2007, Digg inked a 3-year ad deal with Microsoft, so that the software giant now sells all of Digg's ads.

Digg is perpetually rumored to be for sale, most recently to Google. One problem is that Digg's momentum has waned. TechCrunch hypothesized that Digg would sell for $200 million. All Things Digital's Kara Swisher said $60-80 million. We're splitting the difference: $125 million.
