Can someone from NBC please explain this? Just want to save a few dollars not having to remix east coast tape? Promised sponsors "prime time"? It just seems ludicrous.

isn't primetime 8-10pm?? then if they actually showed the events live on the left coast, wouldn't they actually occur in REAL primetime vs. this newfound Olympic primtetime that takes place every night from 10pm-1am on the east coast? completely completely baffling that people in cali can't watch michael phelps live. and this is coming from a new yorker. nbc needs to get its act together. in the meantime, hope all cali heads continue to watch the illegal livestreams.

Watching the Olympics from the west has been an ongoing exercise in irritation - the ongoing Phelps delay, plus the faux "live" sign on the screen. Gave up earlier this week after discovering live feed from Saudi Arabian network. NBC blew it. The time when the networks could control how they delivered content to viewers is over.

nbc sucks. what were they thinking that theu are delaying it in the west coast?

If you're on the West coast you have to watch CBC (Canadian TV) to see the prestige Olympic events live. NBC wont have me tuning in later.

Why can't they do both? Show the tape on primetime and show the live on live time. People have more options then and hence rating increase.
