Or maybe Sarah Lacy's book won't sell so well, now that everyone realizes she's a sycophantic idiot.

I actually suspect that this will drive sales through roof.

That video clip is painful to watch. Lacy is the Paris Hilton of the tech blog world. So she acts like an ass to sell her book...what's next a sex video ?

And SAI supports her because.....? Do you guys want to be a serious source for analysis or do you want to join the long list of sites doing anything for hits ?

No high-profile people will come to South by Southwest again? Or maybe, they'll check to ensure that the interviewer is competent and knows what questions the audience want asked?

ok..I call shenanigans. Lacy's claim that this will somehow ruin SXSW is a joke. Her "interview" was a joke. And her subsequent book about useless sandbox creater faceberg will also in turn be a joke.
Are you a journalist? Then act like one. ASk a tough question. There are plenty to ask.
If you are a Barbara Walters-style interview hack then at least be upfront about it.

Thanks for linking to the actual interview anon. I particularly love how hard she's trying to push the blame around in that post interview clip. Having watched the portion of her interview on youtube, it was clearly her own terrible skills that got her in trouble.

Or, SXSWi is the new San Diego ComicCon, which also has a history of being vicious to people, but still have top stars/companies come to present their new ideas.

This might be good, to show that it's a put-up or shut-up event.

Or, SXSWi is just a pub crawl with panels, and it will make no real difference.

She’s an idiot, that asked completely irrelevant questions, if she never comes back she will not be missed.

Sarah's no idiot. Maybe her interviewing style turned out to be a poor match for Zuckerberg, the venue and the audience that day, but I see that more as bad chemistry and bad luck ("wrong place/time") than a lack of general journalistic chops.

In fact I thought Zuckerberg came off as a real jerk. I hate working with people like him. "Once, he's lucky", but he seems to be forgetting that already and drinking his own Kool-Aid, as sooo many young founders seem to do.

Sarah could have sussed the event better and kept things a little more formal, but she took a lot more blame than she deserved.

I'll still buy her book. Good point, Blodget.
