WomenInTech.jpgThe Wall Street Journal's annual listicle dedicated to executives with two X-chromosomes is out. Eight of the list's "50 Women to Watch" work in tech. (Though none at Dell, ahem.)

  • Sue Decker, President, Yahoo Inc. (YHOO)
  • Ursula M. Burns, President, Xerox Corp.
  • Julie Larson-Green, Corporate Vice President, Windows Experience, Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)
  • Laura Desmond, Chief Executive, Starcom MediaVest Group
  • Safra Catz, President, Oracle Corp. (ORCL)
  • Sheryl Sandberg, Chief Operating Officer, Facebook Inc.
  • Padmasree Warrior, Chief Technology Officer, Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO)

Sue Decker can only be on the list for her spectacular failures. This country has a hard time distinguishing between "showing up" and "performing". Sue Decker apparently has been showing up but presided over Yahoo's slide the realm of near embarrassment. We don't even need to get into Search, Panama, Social Media, Facebook, Microsoft and all the other mistakes she's made since 2001.

Take her off your list unless it's the "women that need to be fired" list.
